Coverage is editorially selected, not paid for: a vendor cannot buy a better review, a higher spot in a roundup, or a softer paragraph on their limitations. Affiliate relationships never influence which tools we cover, how they're scored, or what we say about their downsides — see our editorial guidelines for how reviews actually get written. If a tool is genuinely mediocre, the review says so regardless of whether an affiliate program exists for it.
We don't accept payment in exchange for a positive review, a specific rating, or placement in a comparison or roundup. Where a page contains an affiliate link, that is disclosed on the page itself, not just here.
This page describes our actual, current affiliate practice. It is a working disclosure statement rather than a fully lawyer-reviewed legal document — per our own internal process (see editorial guidelines), legal-grade language for pages like this is meant to come from a real template service or counsel, and that formal pass hasn't happened yet.
